Measuring eGovernment research and its Impact

This work package will investigate the uptake and use of eGovernment research by policymakers and policy managers and by administrators of eGovernment programmes and by researchers. The aim of the work package is to better understand the needs of these groups and ensure that the dissemination, use and impact of eGovernment research is enhanced. Importantly the work package will provide a clear set of criteria outlining important research topics, processes and dissemination methods that enhance the use, uptake and impact of eGovernment research.

Some success factors are:

  • Comprehensive examination of the use and impact of significant past and ongoing eGovernment research activities.
  • Creation of a list of influential research reports that have been important in influencing policies.
  • Positive response from RTD management and RTD managers to the guidelines to enhance the use and impact of eGovernment research.

There are three tasks in this work package

  1. Review and assessment of perceived criteria influencing the impact of research amongst groups utilising research
  2. Review and assessment of the impact of research in leading policy documents
  3. Development of criteria and guidelines enhance the use, uptake and impact of eGovernment research.

This work package is lead by the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA)
