Interest Group high level expert meeting
Bled, Slovenia
Tuesday 12th Feb 2008
On personal invitation only.
This special fifth eGOVERNET Interest Group meeting was organised by the eGOVERNET project (www.egovernet.org) and in conjunction with the Slovenian eGovernment conference 2008 “Alliance with users” (www.egov2008.gov.si).
This special occasion provided policymakers with an opportunity to meet and discuss eGovernment research cooperation. The objective of the meeting was to generate and strengthen the conditions for collaboration and coordination of eGovernment research management.
The meeting provided a condensed overview of the eGOVERNET results. Furthermore it forwarded the foundation for a sustainable network by the formal launching of the eGovernment Ambassadors Alliance and state the Expression of Interest for further cooperation.
We were pleased to present and discuss a special edition of the European Review of Political Technologies “Towards a Common Research Agenda in Europe” - in cooperation with Politech Institute, Brussels.
The meeting presented a common framework for eGovernment research. The ultimate result of the eGOVERNET project was a suggested common framework for eGovernment research on the European, national and regional levels with prioritized research topics.
Further information on the eGOVERNET project and a report of findings of the project are published on the eGOVERNET website (www.egovernet.org)
